Local people who were struggling with a cold home, or high energy bills - or both - could come to us for personally tailored advice to help reduce their energy use, keep warmer at home, and save money on energy bills. We offered this service in Lancaster District, and in Fylde and Wyre. For more information see here
LESS used to run free energy bills clinics / tariff advice sessions at venues around the local area, as part of DECC's Big Energy Saving Network. These sessions aimed to find the most suitable tariff for each individual.

Outreach energy and bills advice
We offered an outreach service, where we worked with organisations to deliver energy saving and bill switching advice in their organisation. We spoke at existing groups and meetings, ran discrete sessions, and delivered training, advice and information either as a one-off or in regular slots. This was an excellent way to deliver energy advice to vulnerable client groups.
Training for frontline workers and volunteers working with vulnerable clients
This training was aimed at helping front line workers, and volunteers who work with vulnerable people, to support their clients more effectively, by enabling them to give accurate and up to date tariff switching advice and energy saving tips. We gave detailed guidance documents and covered all the latest information about pitfalls to watch out for when advising on switching. The training was funded through the Big Energy Saving Network.
Our energy services were funded through a wide variety of contracts and bids, and you can find out more about them in last year's Annual Report.
